Mr. Peterson is the Managing Principal for Peterson Structural Engineers, Inc. and has served as a Project Manager, Structural Engineering Designer and Consultant to many Design, Architectural, and Engineering firms.

His field of experience covers a wide array of projects in multiple disciplines of project and management structures.  These projects include predesign and design in all of the primary building materials including steel, concrete, masonry and wood as well as less common materials such as structural glass, fiber reinforced plastics and aluminum.

Projects include design and generation of construction documents for pump stations, vaults, new and remodel residential, steel and concrete water reservoirs, equestrian and agricultural facilities, bridges, fishery structures, water and sewage treatment facilities, headgates, pile foundations, industrial buildings, silos and equipment anchorage.  Consulting services provided by Mr. Peterson include investigations, evaluations and report generation for existing structures and reservoirs, seismic analysis and retrofit as well as fire damage investigation.

Mr. Peterson is active in the community serving as a guest speaker for upper and lower division educational courses.  In the professional community he is a member of various technical and business associations and is a past Board member of the Oregon Section of American Society of Civil Engineers. He also serves as a Board member and various Committee Liaisons for the Oregon chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies.
