A unique capability of Peterson Structural Engineers, Inc. is our experience in the structural design in Equestrian Facilities. Many of these facilities incorporate impressive expanses of multiple building types including: large enclosed riding arenas, stables, barns, and equipment buildings. These buildings are often quite large and can be structurally complex. Often times the Structural Design performed by PSE must be intricately intertwined with the architectural design. We have partnered with various Architectural firms specializing in Equine Facilities including Equine Architecture (see link below) and Equine Facility Design.
Our firm provides engineering consultation, foundation design and construction documents for large span proprietary steel buildings used for riding arenas. We also perform complete structural designs on stables and barns with specific foundation and framing needs, some of which use intricate architectural connection detailing. Specialized stables, pumping and site facilities, large animal veterinary clinics and other projects all connected with equestrian usage have been designed by PSE from southern California through Washington, Nevada, Oregon and Hawaii.
