Peterson Structural Engineers, Inc. is experienced in many types of municipal and infrastructure projects. We have provided structural evaluation and upgrade as well as new design services for water treatment and wastewater treatment plants, slow sand filters, basins and contact chambers. We have also provided design and consulting services for a multitude of pump stations, lift stations, pipe bridges, caissons, vaults and culverts.
Of particular specialty is our vast experience in the design and evaluation of new and existing reservoirs. Reservoir types include ground supported steel, elevated steel and steel standpipe, cylindrical and rectangular standard reinforced concrete (including base isolated versions), wood stave, concrete dome, hydropillars and in particular AWWA D110 prestressed concrete reservoirs. All in all we have been involved in over 70 reservoir projects in our firm history.
Our firm also has extensive experience in providing engineering services for parks and forestry departments. We have designed elevated walkways for wetlands access, piers and abutments for proprietary foot and vehicle bridges, evaluations and upgrades for service and department buildings as well as historic bridges and swimming pools.
