Evaluation and Upgrade
With the continued evolution of the awareness of effects of seismic and wind loads on existing structures, there is an ongoing need for evaluations and upgrades. Whether analyzing and designing upgrades to bring historic buildings up to full current International Building Code compliance or providing cost/risk evaluations using current existing building seismic provision manuals, the PSE staff has the experience to provide these services.
Because upgrade costs can often exceed the cost of new structures, it is imperative the structural designer be up to date with current upgrade technology and have an acute awareness of the economics of the project.
